ABOUT LUCY

Lucy Bertolet is a Boston-based actor and mover with a passion for devising, new works, and Shakespeare. She made her move from Los Angeles to Boston following her graduation from Emerson College in 2023 with a BFA in Theatre and Performance. Regional credits include Fresh Ink Theatre (Orpheus in the Overworld), Trapology Boston (Onyx Veil Gala), Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s Apprentice Repertory Company (Richard II), and Central Square Theatre (Inventing Samanta). She also choreographed a full-length contemporary dance piece for NACHMO Boston’s 2025 showcase, and performed in short new works with IdleFest (Joyful Melancholy) and Queer Theatre Collective (June’s Dance). In her free time, Lucy is a digital illustrator focusing on bold line work and creature design.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

After getting her BFA in Theatre and Performance from Emerson College, Lucy went on to join Commonwealth Shakespeare Company’s 2024 Apprenticeship Program. Lucy also attended multiple pre-college acting intensives at UCLA and the American Shakespeare Center. In college, Lucy took advanced studies in historical weaponry stage combat, voiceover, Linklater voice method, Chekhov, and acting for the camera. She also took up a minor in Science to supplement her theatre degree, with concentrations in animal behavior and anatomy of movement.
